Lumina was born in 1973, from the designer Tommaso Cimini's mind. His first design, Daphine, now worldwide in the most important museums of contemporary art and design, is a perfect synthesis of shape and function. It determines the standards of Lumina's design philosophy.
Tommaso Cimini, designer and founder of Lumina, created this desk light in the search for a balance between form and function. It can be found in some of the most famous museums worldwide for art and design, shown as an unrivalled symbol of minimalist elegance and functionality. A series of light fittings made of metal with one or two swivel arms and a 360° Adjustable reflector. Daphine is available both with electronic and lamellar transformer in its desk, floor, wall versions, Cloe Cilindro for desk mounting comes with a electronic transformer, Cloe Morsetto on clamp comes with a plug transformer; a lamp-holder GY 6.35 or G4 for max 50W-12V halogen sources, on/off or double intensity switch, or dimmer, for energy saving. These lights are well tested through a long production history. They are designed for use in both public and private spaces.
